Purple Sencha

$20.00
Sold Out

This limited-edition tea, made from Japan's unique Sun Rouge cultivar, reveals a deep black hue in its dry leaves and brews with a hint of purple. Add a splash of lemon, and watch as the tea transforms into a vibrant pink. Developed from a cross between Camellia sinensis and Camellia taliensis, this purple tea is packed with anthocyanin, the antioxidant pigment found in blueberries and acai.

Purple Sencha offers a refreshing aroma of dried fruit, hay, and acai. On the palate, it opens with a tart brightness, a brisk mouthfeel, and a lingering astringency. Best enjoyed cold brewed or as a base for tea cocktails, it’s as visually captivating as it is flavorful.

Reinfuse at least once.

Hot infusion: Use 5g (2 tsp) with 6 oz (175ml) at 175°F for 1-2 min.

Cold infusion: Use 5g (2 tsp) with 6 oz (175ml) with ice water for 10 min.

Contains 2 oz. (60g) Approximately 20 cups if reinfused as recommended.
