Homare Sencha

$22.00

This distinctive fukamushi-style sencha is crafted from the finest spring harvest Yabukita leaves from Shizuoka’s renowned tea regions—Kanaya, Kawane, and Kakegawa. Known for its deep steaming and unique high-temperature roasting process, Homare Sencha delivers a rich, brothy flavor reminiscent of green beans and asparagus, balanced by a vibrant spring sweetness and a lingering finish.

Tea experts meticulously inspect and sort the leaves, selecting only the best for Homare Sencha. Stems and irregular leaves are removed to ensure a uniform color and even steeping. The final roasting, or hi-ire, uses a higher temperature than typical, refining and deepening the tea’s flavors without bitterness. This intensive process, overseen by skilled artisans, results in a uniquely flavorful and aromatic tea.

Reinfuse several times.

Hot infusion: Use 4g (2 tsp) with 6 oz (175ml) at 140°F for 90 seconds.

Cold infusion: Use 4g (2 tsp) with 6 oz (175ml) with ice water for 10 min.

Contains 2 oz. (60g) Approximately 45 cups if reinfused as recommended.
