Emily Trentham creates ceramic vessels and hand-dipped beeswax candles informed by ecology, folk tradition, and connection to place. Suzanne Joy Teune paints expressive portraits on fabric using plant dyes and inks she forages and creates herself. Working with natural materials and slow, process-driven practices, both artists explore care, presence, and relationships with the natural world.
The exhibition marks the culmination of Trentham and Teune’s year-long residency at Treats Studios. An opening reception will be held Thursday, June 11 from 5–8 PM, with refreshments coordinated by Kintsugi House. The exhibition will remain on view throughout The Summer Tea House at Treats series.
